(i) Health benefits of exercise for teenagers:
- Helps to control weight as it burns calories from food.
- Reduces stress as it releases endorphins. These hormones improve mood and self-esteem.
- Reduces the risk of heart disease and stroke later in life as it lowers blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
(ii) Money-saving shopping ideas:
- Shop around and compare prices and value for money.
- Take advantage of special offers when there are genuine savings to be made.
- Choose own-brand products. These are usually cheaper than brand leaders.
- Make a list of what is required and avoid impulse buying.

Meal planning guidelines:
- Ensure the meal is balanced, i.e., it contains at least 3 of the 4 shelves of the food pyramid. This menu contains salad and fruit, yogurt, wholemeal roll and chicken.
- Follow the healthy eating guidelines – increase fibre, fruit and vegetables, and cut down on sugar, salt and fat. Drink up to 2 litres of water per day.
- Include a variety of colours, flavours and textures. This menu has colour from the salad and fruit, a good mix of flavours, and a variety of smooth and crunchy textures.
(c) Forms of redress:
- A refund of the amount that was paid for the bag at the outset.
- A replacement. A new or alternative item may be given free of charge.

(i) When upcycling, consider the following:
- Fashion. What is trendy or fashionable at the moment?
- Skills. What skills do you have, for example, embroidery, beading, use of a sewing machine?
- Cost. Do you need to buy any new materials or can you recycle what you have?
