- Practice this skill - there is no other way of improving.
- Only put in what is required.
Some Dos and Don’ts for a sketch map.
| Dos - A Sketch Map needs a title, frame, north point and a label in full (key if necessary).
- Use a pencil (colouring pencils are useful, but not a necessity).
- Use pencil or colour pencils (3 or 4).
- Draw a frame in same shape (about half the original size).
- Be minimalist (only draw what you are asked for).
| Don’ts - Use biro.
- Draw in too much detail.
- Shade (takes too much time). Striking an area is faster.
- Take too much time to complete the sketch.
