Question

Answer

1.

You learn a great deal about Jack in this poem. He is a ‘six foot tall’ fourteen (almost fifteen) year old. He is a typical teenager who has a strained relationship with his mother. He is uncomfortable with her discussing ‘grades, sex’ or the body. He seems to be taciturn because the poet mentions that she has ‘one-sided chats’. He is obsessed with football and hopes to play for a club in the future. He also likes ‘Comedy Gold’ and eating ‘fried food’.
